Apply water as needed, check the soil for moisture content. Continue weekly application of fertlizer. Remove dead and yellowed leaves to clean up how your plant and the soil. Deadhead by removing spent flowers and seed pods, this will direct energy into more flowers. You can snack on the berries as long as they have not been sprayed for insect or disease control. Sit back and enjoy your fuchsias!
Fuchsia hardiness is dependent on being planted in the ground. Fuchsias planted in patio pots and planters are just like any other fuchsia and are subject to freezing temperatures. Patio pots, baskets and planters are typically wintered in garages, sheds, next to houses in a manner where they will not freeze and checked monthly to see if water is needed, (just enough to keep the roots alive please).
While we all have the spring bug and are out shopping for our new found treasures, we need to keep in mind that it is still a bit cold outside for some of the more tender finds, like fuchsias. Putting them in a box or a tray and putting on your patio table may seem like a good idea but, your table is much like a winter bridge... the first to ice over. Your best bet will be to put them in your garage, shed, some place a late frost cannot nip their tender tips. Using frost cloth will help keep them a few degrees warmer. If you do not have room in the garage, beside the house on the ground with 'frost cloth' over them or overnight in a cool space in the house. Put them back outside in the morning when the temps are over 40° until they have hardened. To harden them, a week inside overnight, then outside in the shade during the day. The sun can still burn their greenhouse tender leaves.
Succulent care is here! While you may feel overwhelmed with the care of your new succulent, it's not as bad as you think. Succulents do not need as much water in the winter so, you will want to let it dry out. When the soil is dry, you will soak it well in warm water. Let it drain, it is now ready to dry out again. You are mimicing nature... monsoon to arid, repeat. Think of them like little camels, they store their water in their leaves, so you just have to give them water to refill their leaves.

I want to thank all of my customers during this time.
You are the greatest!
The Fuchsia Farm is a small nursery located in Washington state. We have been growing fuchsias for our many fuchsia friends at our previous location since July 2021. We are transirioning into an online space due to the high overhead that our current economy does not support. With that, we are no longer associated with our previous physical location. We will continue to provide fuchsias and other plants to our valued friends and custoners. And, our mail order fuchsia starts year-round to all 50 states will continue after a brief hiatus. As we transition into our new venture, we will offer an ever-growing catalog of the many varieties of upright, hardy and trailing fuchsias that we have collected since 2021. We have grown and provided fuchsias for botanical gardens all over the country. We support the training and educational opportunities provided to the public by the Northwest Fuchsia Society and American Fuchsia Society at their fuchsia shows and annual sales. We grow fuchsias to order for many small, family-owned nurseries from coast-to-coast and individual fuchsia societies from Washington to California. We have developed strong relationships with the Kitsap County Master Gardeners, King County Master Gardeners and Pierce County Master Gardeners.

At the moment, our Mail Order plants are exclusively those indicated in our online catalog.
Mail Order is year-round for our customers in all 50 states, yes - all 50 states!
It is common for mail order plant sellers to substitute a close match in cases of unavailability. Inventory changes quickly and while we attempt to keep online quantities current, it is possible that we no longer have a variety that was chosen when placing your order due to shared inventory.
If you would like a substitute, please enter that information during checkout in the comment section. If you do not want a substitute, please indicate that in the comment section.

You and your plants happiness are very important. We will pick the best and healthiest plant for you. Plants can experience stress while traveling, it may arrive with some torn leaves or some yellow/brown spots from being in the dark and closed box for days. Be sure to inspect your plant as soon as they arrive and send photos of plants that are stressed or damaged. It is normal that plants may wilt or lose leaves. Give it some time to recover as it acclimates to its new home after sending in your photos.
We are proud of the plants that we grow here at The Fuchsia Farm, and we’re confident that you’ll be satisfied with the quality of your purchase. I strive for complete Customer Satisfaction but, realize that, on occasion, an issue arises.
If your plant has been damaged during the shipping process (mail handlers and processing facilities are not always the most gentle), please email tammy.fuchsiaweb@yahoo.com a picture the SAME DAY your plant is received, so I may proceed with a damage claim and either replace or refund you the purchase price of your plant.
